Georgios Grammatikos, MD, Assist. Prof. born in 1982 in Thessaloniki, Greece visited the German School of Thessaloniki and completed his undergraduate studies in the medical schools of Duisburg-Essen, Germany and Zurich, Switzerland. He then moved to the Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main, Germany in 2008 and worked as a clinical resident for Internal Medicine in the Department of Gastroenterology\/Hepatology of the University Clinic Frankfurt am Main. In 2014 followed the clinical Fellowship for Gastroenterology\/Hepatology which was completed in 2018. From 2017 until September 2018 Dr. Grammatikos worked as a consultant in the University Clinic Frankfurt am Main. During his clinical residency in Frankfurt he completed his doctoral-thesis (Dr. med.<\/em>) with \u201esumma cum laude\u201c<\/em> at the Duisburg-Essen University in 2011. After a research fellowship (Post-Doc) in 2012 and 2014 at the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Goethe University Frankfurt he completed his habilitation (PD Dr. med.<\/em>) in 2017 as an Assistant Professor<\/em> of the Medical Faculty of the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main.<\/p>\n

He is a recipient of multiple awards for his research accomplishments and owns a patent for a novel serologic diagnostic test for hepatocellular carcinoma. Dr. Grammatikos is an author of several original publications and his research has been cited more than 900 times with an h-index of 10.<\/p>\n

In fall 2018 he moved back to Thessaloniki to start his new job as a consultant in Hepatology and Gastroenterology in the St\u2019 Luke\u2019s Clinic, Thessaloniki and found his own private Practice for Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the centre of Thessaloniki. Dr. Grammatikos remains an assistant professor of the medical faculty of the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main, Germany and fulfils regularly his academic and teaching engagement.<\/p>\n
